Thanksgiving brings back such happy childhood memories for me. We were either at Grandma Stone's or Grandma Draughon's. At Grandma Stone's I always knew she was going to bake cinnamon rolls. Now that was not the best part though........as she was getting them ready to go in the oven the kids were running and playing. Of course we had to run through the house just to check on the progress. As we ran through the kitchen she would give us a bite of raw cinnamon roll... YUMMY. Looking back I now know she had to of made at least 1 extra batch just to hand out to the grands and great grands. Now at Grandma Draughon's there were always a ton of cousins to play with. As we got older there were always card tables set up and a few games of 42 and dominoes going on. Oh yeah even though Grandma and Grandpa Draughon were poor there was always a feast at the table. As I reflect on this I pray that my grandchildren will have good memories of Thanksgiving with their Grandparents.
So what are you thankful for this year?
