Each day is a new day with new experiences, new people and new lessons. We loose sight of the fact that God has plans for our lives. He knows where He wants to take us and how to get there. We only see a tiny dot of all that is going on around us, in us, with us, and for us. It is kind of like looking through a keyhole. Tunnel vision some of us say. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut, so to speak, and do things the same way and get the same results. Most of the time that frustrates us as it should.
Sometimes I think we forget that as we walk out our lives from day to day we forget God knows where He wants us to be. Even though we can only see through the keyhole we think we know the way to walk. God has a plan for us when we are a baby, a child, a teen, a young adult, young married couple, parent, middle age, aging and....................... We want to see the big picture but, if we did we would be unsettled by the struggles to arrive at our destination at any point on our journey.
Sometimes the hardest part is to keep our hand in His hand and know He has the map. It is hard when you reach a point in your life where you feel change on the horizon. When you sense there is a change coming yet can't see clearly it is incredibly hard to "Be still and know He is God" and has everything under control. This is especially hard when looking through the keyhole you catch a glimpse of things that have nothing to do with where you believe God has called you to be right now. Are you longing to stick your head through that keyhole and see what is on the other side. Ah, but He calls us to be patient and wait on Him to lead the way. Would you rush on and miss the trip with our Lord or; hold close to His hand so you can be awe struck by the awesome trip, the surprises along the way, and the incredible journey's end. I challenge you to put your hand in His hand and slow down in our fast paced world. Or....Psalms 23 The Lord is my shepherd,A)'> I lack nothing.B)'>
